Overview
In 2024, a Belgian entrepreneur discovered my previous NNG project and was interested in the direction of my work.
Following that project, he approached me with a new idea: creating a sports-focused application that would help people find partners to exercise with instead of doing everything alone.
The goal was to build an experience that could bring people together through shared sporting interests, make it easier to find someone to train with, and encourage users to stay active and motivated.
This project gave me the opportunity to take a client's vision and translate it into a clear, engaging, and intuitive digital experience.

The Challenge
Staying active is not always just about finding the time or choosing a sport. For some people, the experience can feel less appealing when they have nobody to share it with.
Finding a compatible training partner can also be difficult. People may have different interests, schedules, fitness levels, or goals.
Fitpick set out to address this challenge by bringing the search for a sports partner into one dedicated experience.
The design challenge was to make that process feel simple and approachable: helping users find people who share their interests while making the idea of exercising together more appealing.

The Approach
Translating an idea into an experience.
My focus was to turn the client's vision into a digital product experience that users could understand quickly and navigate intuitively.
I approached the project by considering the journey from the initial desire to exercise with someone to discovering a potential partner.
Understanding the core need
I focused on the fundamental problem the product was intended to address: helping people connect through sport and making it easier to find someone with similar interests.
Structuring the experience
I considered how the main actions should fit together, from exploring potential partners to understanding their interests and taking the next step toward connecting.
Designing the interface
I translated the concept into a visual experience, with an emphasis on clarity, consistency, and making the central matching experience easy to understand.
Refining the journey
I considered how the different screens and interactions could work together to create a coherent experience, keeping the product's core purpose at the center of the design.

The Results
Turning a client's vision into a digital experience.
Fitpick allowed me to work on a real client brief centered on a simple but meaningful challenge: making sport more social by helping people find others to exercise with.
The project brought together product thinking, user experience, and interface design to give the concept a clear digital direction.
It also reinforced the importance of looking beyond individual screens and considering the broader experience a product is trying to create.
The result was a design project focused on connecting people through shared sporting interests and making exercising together feel more accessible.
